Parisian Postcard with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps -Pattern on Pattern Paper & Freestyle Collage Stamping-

I've been spending time in my craft room playing with stamps by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I love to have a chance to use my inks and clear stamps to create collages. Today I'm using the first clear stamp set I ever designed, Parisian Postcard.

Main Supplies:Die cuts - Spellbinders: Elegant Ovals, A2 Matting Basics A, Ferns, Classic Ovals LG / Die-namites: Ramona Flower / Memory Box: Botanical Stem
Stamps - Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Parisian Postcard by Graciellie Design
Inks - Clearsnap Colorbox: -Love- Paintbox, Teresa Collins -Fierce- Petal Point
Paper - Heavyweight vellum / blue iridescent cardstock / pink leather textured cardstock / white opaline cardstock
Tools - Acrylic stamping blocks / Evolution Advanced Die cutting machine / Westcott Paper Trimmer / Scissors / Mini Minc machine
Other - Therm O Web: Gold Deco Foil, Mixed Media Adhesive, Foam Squares, Zots Small / Air Dry Clay / Stampendous Frantage Shabby Pink embossing enamel / Clearsnap Colorbox Clear embossing powder / Eyelet Outlet Pink pearls

This pretty stamp set gives you so many possibilities. I created a subtle collage on the background and framed it with die cuts I arranged around the oval frame with a stamped Eiffel Tower from the same set.

As to other techniques, I created my own specialty cardstock printing a polka dot pattern over a floral pattern, that I then foiled in gold. It gives the card a truly unique look. To add a delicate touch, I stamped in white and heat embossed in clear a couple of butterflies on vellum, adhered an air dry clay heart I made, and added pink pearls to the floral die cuts.

This freestyle collage card has no sentiment, as I felt it didn't need one with all the elements it has already. It sure was a fun and delightful card to make and it felt like I was revisiting old stamping times.

I invite you to come take a closer look to this classic stamp set at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and join the conversation on social media using #gracielliedesign. Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time!

Everyday Miracles with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - Soft & Delicate Butterfly Card -

I was recently honored with a wonderful invitation by Korin Sutherland from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to join their design team, not only as a stamp designer but also as a card designer. I feel like this was an opportunity that for one reason or another had been delayed and so it is so very fulfilling to finally be able to be part of this company.

Main Supplies:
Stamps - Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps: Everyday MiraclesFloral Pattern Background
Die Cuts - Spellbinders: A2 Matting Basics A, Majestic Labels 25, Victoria Border Strip
Papers - Laser jet smooth white cardstock, pink leather textured cardstock, heavyweight vellum
Tools - Evolution Advanced die cutting machine / Canon MG2220 Printer / heat tool
Inks - Colorbox Antique Pewter and Wild Hare / Ranger Distress Embossing Ink
Adhesives - Therm O Web: Foam Squares, Zots, Mixed Media Glue, 1/2" Easy Tear Tape
Other - Cuttlebug Damask Decor embossing folder / 7/8" pink grossgrain ribbon / SU rhinestones / Colorbox Winterfrost glitter / Colorbox Clear embossing powder

Today's card is what is usually called a hybrid card; The background was hand stamped while the sentiment and butterfly were digitally stamped. I was able to match colors incredibly well (to my own surprise) considering the ombre background was actually made using pigment inks. This beautiful image and sentiment are from the classic Everyday Miracles stamp set available in both digital and clear stamp format. The Floral Pattern Background is one of my designs released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

The ombre background opened the way for all the other soft elements on this card: A dry embossed mat and a patterned Victorian border framing the sentiment and a layered butterfly image with a hint of sparkle.

The butterfly's shimmer is actually created with some DIY iridescent embossing powder I made, mixing one part of Clear embossing powder with two parts of Winter Frost glitter, both by ColorBox. I printed it on pink cardstock and then on vellum to soften the sparkle and create dimension.

This soft and delicate butterfly card is the first of a series of inspiration projects. I invite you to follow along since there will be more creativity and surprises to share soon. Do take a minute if you can to visit Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and see their large collection of clear stamps including the ones I've designed (here).

Thanks for stopping by.

Elegant Die Cutting with Victorian Accents & Deco Foil

I always like to start the new year on a serene, positive mood. I mentally set a goal or two -something realistic and achievable- and then I reinforce my sense of patience so I can delight in the simple things of daily life while I wait for those goals to be fulfilled. That being said, once again I start off my creative year with a card and sentiment to inspire you to go out and pursue your goals, knowing that all things are possible to those who believe it, through hard work and kindness.

This year I want to play more with my dies, including those old ones we tend to neglect throughout after a while. I've always been passionate about die cutting and if you've followed me a bit you know how much I enjoy to add layers and layers of elements to my cards.

For today's card I used four beautiful, victorian corners to frame my card front. To begin, I used two mats cut from patterned paper in different designs, one of which was foiled. I added more touches of gold to the focal point of the card, using foil for the sentiment and butterfly stamps, as well as for the die cut elements.

Digital files used to create this card can be found on my Etsy shop. Here are the stamp sets and digital paper packs I worked with:
